To Digital Literacy and Beyond:
Join us on a journey through Digital Literacy. Explore ways to empower your learners through digital interactions. We will show you how two lessons in Challenger 4 can come alive! We will take you to the Anne Frank museum and on a trip to view the solar system. Please join us on our journey to Digital Literacy and beyond!
Workforce Literacy/Business Roundtable:
This session primarily demonstrates how to bring authentic career and employment readiness instruction into adult literacy, Adult Basic Education, and ESL classes. It will also include an overview of the Job Opportunities and Basic Skills (JOBS) curriculum, trends in workforce literacy instruction from across the region, and outcomes from the Southwest Michigan Community Literacy Initiative.
Supporting Immigrant Families:
An overview of the barriers, obstacles, and challenges that immigrant and refugee families face will be presented, followed by a discussion of strategies and examples in order to provide socio-emotional, academic, and acculturation support.
