Support youth in the Brooklyns as they prepare for summer employment!
Join a team of community leaders providing opportunities for youth to gain skills, experiences and support that prepare them to enter the work environment.
We are looking for local professionals and community members to conduct mock interviews with youth completing BrookLynk's Get Ready! training in preparation for summer employment. This is an exciting opportunity for youth and professionals to get connected. BrookLynk mock interviews are a great way for youth to prepare for his or her actual job interview. Mock Interviews will be conducted one-on-one and interviewers will be able to provide feedback and suggestions for youth to improve their skills. Being interviewed by professionals allows for youth to have real experience and vital feedback that they can carry with them to professional interview settings. The mock interview process will take approximately 15 minutes per interview; eight to ten minutes to interview and five minutes to provide feedback.
WHAT TO BRING AS AN INTERVIEWER
As an mock interviewer, you will not be required to bring anything. BrookLynk will provide interview sheets, pens, sample questions
WHEN AND WHERE MOCK INTERVIEWS ARE TAKING PLACE
Dates: Wednesday, March 28 and/or Wednesday, April 4th. (We will be conducting mock interviews on both of those dates)
- You can choose to participate on one or both of the dates
Times: 4:00 - 5:30 pm and/or 5:30 - 7:00 pm
- You can choose to interview for either time slot or both
Location: Earle Brown Heritage Center - 6155 Earle Brown Dr, Brooklyn Center, MN 55430
Please arrive 15 minutes before your interview time as for a brief the day of.
