KELC Events Volunteer Sign Up at Canadiana Fest

KELC Events are teaming up with Canadiana Fest for a one-day festival on Saturday, September 20 at the Arcadia Creek Festival Place. KELC is looking for volunteers to help us operate the beverage service (alcoholic beverages) at the event. We are not involved with the actual Canadiana Fest, except to make sure that the beverages are served.

The volunteer spots are in three different locations including the traditional beverage pavilion, the VIP Tent (where people purchase a value-added ticket), and a sampling tent with Peele Island Winery. All volunteers are required to be at least 19 years of age and must follow our beverage service guidelines. The event will be lots of fun - you get to be a bartender at a festival. We will have supervisors on site that will help make the event a learning experience as well as a ton of fun.

Gather up your friends to join you. Our Beverage Tent requires the most support, making it an excellent opportunity for corporate groups to volunteer together as a community service activity.

We're actively recruiting volunteers now through September 6th. Canadiana Fest is free to attend, and all volunteers are provided a t-shirt to wear at the event.

7.Beverage Pavilion: This is a “bartender” position. To serve alcoholic beverages volunteers must be 19 years old. There will be an opportunity to pour drinks into glasses with ice.
8.Pelee Island Tasting Tent: Pelee Island is coming from Canada to promote their wines. KELC will be operating out of their tent to serve the wine for a specially purchased wine tasting ticket (special 3 oz pour). The Pelee Winery staff will be there to talk about their wines from Canada's oldest winery. This is a “bartender” position. To serve alcoholic beverages volunteers must be 19 years old.
9.VIP Area: The VIP tent is a special ticket purchased so that attendees pay for a premium experience. This position is at the VIP Bar and you will be serving beverages (similar to the Beverage Pavilion). You must be 19 to volunteer for this position. A KELC Supervisor will also be at the VIP Bar to assist.
