When a road traffic collision results in injury, Kent Police are required to attend and record detailed information, which is then passed to Kent County Council (KCC) to help identify and address recurring patterns of serious collisions. For damage-only collisions, however, there is no obligation to report, meaning some incidents may not be captured in the official KCC dataset — even where police have attended.

As a Parish Council, we recognise the value of recording these minor collisions locally. Minor traffic collision data submitted to Hildenborough Parish Council will be submitted to KCC to support future road safety interventions in our area.
