Application

Thank you for your interest in applying to be on the Access Paratransit Advisory Committee (APAC).  

The purpose of APAC is to advise King County Metro Transit, King County Executive, and King County Council on issues related to Access paratransit and the terms of the contract for Access paratransit service. APAC is not a decision-making body. APAC is recruiting new members for King County Council Districts 2, 3, 5, 6, 8, and 9. We encourage all riders, including youth, persons of color, persons with disabilities and/or limited English proficiency to apply. 

APAC consists of 11 members selected by King County Executive and confirmed by King County Council. Membership is comprised of: 

  • Access paratransit riders  
  • Family members of Access paratransit riders 
  • Representatives of organizations that provide services to/OR support Access paratransit riders

Members serve for either a one-year or two-year term.

APAC Meetings
To complete the work plan and address other emerging issues. APAC holds meetings as follows: 
  • One monthly public meeting. Held on the second Monday of every month, from 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm.
  • Subcommittee meetings (as needed).

Meetings are held in English. Interpreting services and other accommodations can be provided upon request.

By completing this application, you are not guaranteed to be selected as a member of APAC. Instead, your application will be sent to the King County Executive and Council for consideration. You may submit a resume instead of completing this application form.   
Applicants must reside in King County to serve on a King County board or commission. King County employees are prohibited from serving on a King County board or commission.
