The TxANA Awards Program honors individuals who exemplify excellence, leadership, service, and dedication within the nurse anesthesia profession. Each year, these awards recognize CRNAs and advocates who make meaningful contributions through mentorship, professional advocacy, organizational service, and commitment to advancing the field of anesthesia.
All submissions must be completed by July 1. Nominees should meet the guidelines outlined for each award category.
CRNA Mentor Award:
The CRNA Mentor Award recognizes an outstanding Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) who has demonstrated exceptional mentorship qualities, providing guidance, support, and inspiration to colleagues or students within the field of anesthesia.
Professional Advocacy Award:
The Professional Advocacy Award honors an individual who has demonstrated exemplary commitment and leadership in advocating for the advancement of the nurse anesthesia profession and the interests of CRNAs.
Guidelines:
All received information will be treated as confidential.
Board of Directors members are ineligible during their term in office. Nominating Committee members may be nominated but must excuse themselves from the committee during awards discussions due to conflict of interest.
Nominees will remain in the candidate pool for up to three years for consideration with a re-nomination annually by the nominator. After this period, a new nomination package must be submitted.
