Atypical Infections in Neurosurgical Wards

This project is about unusual/atypical infections of the CNS, with an emphasis on infections occurring in Neurosurgical wards. This study has been going on for at least 4.5 years now at our department (Szeged - Hungary), and we are at the edge of summarizing our findings and publishing them.
This survey particularly is about CNS infections caused by Clostridium spp. , more specifically Clostridium perfringens. There have been cases of C.perfringens reported in the literature but they are not detailed and just a few of them exist. In this survey we would like to find out about the experiences of our dear colleagues all over Europe about such infectious cases and use them in our study. These data will be of great value and importance for our study.

Your participation and help is greatly appreciated,

Dr. Arad Tahaei
Consultant Neurosurgeon - Assistant lecturer
