2025 Knowledge Attitude and Practice Questionnaire
The Department of Disaster Management (DDM) is currently collecting information to assess the public’s knowledge, attitudes and practices relating to disaster management. That means we want to better understand what persons who live and spend time here know, believe and do when it comes to emergency preparedness and response.
This data will assist the Department in identifying potential gaps and enhancing a range of departmental programmes, including early warning systems, community education, and outreach initiatives.
The survey begins with a brief section with general questions about you, which will help us create a demographic profile of respondents. The main section focuses on your knowledge of hazards and the steps you take to prepare for potential disasters. At the end, you will also have the opportunity to provide any additional feedback you would like the DDM to consider.
Please note that all responses are confidential and cannot be traced back to individual participants. Your participation is entirely voluntary; you may choose not to answer specific questions or to withdraw from the survey altogether.
The survey will take approximately 15 minutes to complete, and you will not be contacted further upon submission.
We greatly appreciate your participation and are confident that your feedback will play a valuable role in helping us better integrate community perspectives into our disaster management programmes.
