WHAT is a 'GEE' Award?
GEE: Governments Encouraging Entrepreneurs in the five areas that are important to the business community; Ease of Use, Customer Service, Effective Communication, Building Partnerships and Commitment to Economic Development.

WHY is this important for our community?
Businesses choose to locate and grow more quickly in political environments that are cooperative, consistent and flexible. Local municipalities in Muskegon County are working hard every day to improve the environment for business success by innovating and delivering services in new ways.

WHO is spearheading the initiative?
The Muskegon Lakeshore Chamber's Government Affairs Committee wants to publicly recognize individuals and government entities who demonstrate a commitment to excellence and process improvements to support business growth.

WHEN will the 2016 GEE Awards be announced?
The 2016 GEE Award recipients will be recognized at the October 28th Business for Breakfast.
