Criteria for Selection

Information provided on this application will be used to select scholarship recipients. Please respond to each item as completely and accurately as possible. To qualify for a NADP Foundation scholarship, the applicant must:
  • Submit a signed letter of recommendation from a current NADP member in good standing who has been a member of NADP for at least two consecutive years. A letter of recommendation from a NADP member must include:
    • A paragraph or sentence that explains how our member knows you and the duration of their relationship with you.
    • A summary that explains why our member has recommended you for scholarship consideration.
    • Our member's contact information and signature.
  • Submit 2 letters of recommendation from current or previous employers, counselors or teachers.
  • All letters of recommendation must be signed and dated no earlier than January 1st, 2026. Not meeting this criteria will disqualify your application.
  • Be a US citizen or permanent resident.
  • Be enrolled with a minimum of nine credit hours at an accredited post-secondary school or accredited Vocational or Trade School.
  • Have earned a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.00 on a 4.00 scale.
  • Have completed at least one grading term of a post-secondary program or be a high school senior going directly to post-secondary school or accredited Vocational or Trade School.

Reasons for Disqualification
  • The application has not been completed by April 17th, 2026
  • Fraudulent responses are discovered in the application, essay or eligibility requirements
  • Eligibility requirements are not met including enrolled units or GPA
  • Submitted multiple applications for the same year
  • Letter of recommendation requirements not met

Judging

Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of:
  • Academic achievement
  • Financial need
  • Volunteer work completed in the past 2 years
  • Extracurricular activities
  • Community involvement
  • Quality of the application, including spelling, grammar, content
  • Essay content, including quality of writing, work count, etc.
Complete Application Includes
  • Completed online application
  • Transcripts from current/last school enrolled - transcripts don't have to be sealed official copy, but must be from the school
  • Letters of Recommendation
  • A student photo

    Notification
    Applicants who receive a scholarship will be contacted and provided with information on how to claim funding. All applicants will receive a letter notifying them of the foundation's decision. NADP Foundation scholarship winners are chosen once per year.

    If you are awarded a scholarship, the NADP Foundation may ask for you to make a short video or write a brief note outlining what receiving the scholarship has meant to you as well as use your photo and college name to promote the NADP Foundation scholarship program.     Deadlines
    Application deadline is April 17th, 2026. Please complete the scholarship application as thoroughly
    and clearly as possible. Submit the application, essay and all documentation to the NADP Foundation before the deadline.
