Faculty Feedback

The Internal Medicine Residency Program values your feedback and comments on areas that the faculty can improve as well as areas that are going well.  The end of the month evaluations in New Innovations are limited in that you only evaluate one attending but may have interacted with many.  Based on this, your program leaders and housestaff council have created this format to allow you to comment on interactions with faculty in didactics, weekend coverage, on your patient care team or in any other setting where you were able to work with them. As always, examples are helpful but you do not need to include specifics like the patient scenario or month as we understand that may hinder anonymity.

Multi-source feedback (from this survey, new innovations, program issues of concern, emails and comments to the chiefs) will be provided to the faculty every 6 months in a report that goes to the faculty member, program director and faculty supervisor.  The report is formatted so that the comments from various sources are indistinguishable to further preserve anonymity and will allow for more comprehensive and timely feedback which is incredibly important for helping your faculty to become better and better teachers.  Finally, given the fact that these reports are created every 6 months and faculty then work on improvement plans, the comments here should be based on observations in the last 6 months.

If you ever have an urgent concern and want to make a comment in real time, please use the "Program issues of concern" tab on goodsamim.com or discuss with a chief, APD or the PD.

This process is being overseen by the Department of Medical Education to assure anonymity and increase your comfort with giving feedback.  If you have comments on how to make it more effective in the future, please list those at the end of this form.

Thank you for your time providing this valuable feedback.
