Fast Facts About Cervical Dystonia
  • Cervical dystonia causes neck muscles to tighten or spasm. This can cause your head to turn, tilt, or pull in a way that you can’t control
  • Neck pain is one of the most common symptoms of cervical dystonia. Other symptoms include head shaking or jerking, an elevated shoulder, headaches, and upper back pain
  • Cervical dystonia is often misdiagnosed for other conditions. Patients go 5 years on average before receiving an accurate diagnosis
