2026 Houghton County Recreation Survey

The Houghton County Recreation Committee seeks public input to plan improvements to recreation sites in the County. The purpose of this survey is to collect feedback from residents and visitors on the types of recreation opportunities they would like the County to maintain, develop, and/or improve. The results of the survey will help develop the County’s Five-Year Recreation Plan.

The survey includes questions about your recreation interests and preferences for improvements to recreation sites owned by the County. Participation is voluntary, and responses are confidential. The combined anonymous results from this survey will be published as part of the County’s Five-Year Recreation Plan.

How to Return the Survey
Completed paper surveys should be returned to the Recreation Committee through any of the following options:

County-Owned Recreation Facilities
While Houghton County residents and visitors have access to a wide variety of parks, other sites, and trails through villages, townships, and state and federal government properties, the County only owns two recreation facilities: Houghton County Fairgrounds and the Houghton County Marina.
