A'19 MN - The Minnesota Conference on Architecture
November 12-15, 2019

The AIA Minnesota Conference Programs Committee invites you to submit a proposal for a tour to take place during the AIA Minnesota 2019 annual state Conference. We will select 4 to 6 tours for the four-day conference. All tours will be expected to meet continuing education credit requirements. The audience is primarily architects although students, interior designers, landscape architects, engineers, planners, and other design professionals often attend as well. 
 
Proposal deadline: Wednesday, May 15, 2019
 
All proposals must include the following:
  • Title
  • Tour location (no more than a 20-minute bus ride from the Minneapolis Convention Center)
  • Tour description
  • Learning objectives
  • Tour guides
  • Tour length

Health Safety Welfare
The AIA recognizes general programming for credit as well as programming that addresses Health, Safety, Welfare (HSW) issues. In order for your tour to qualify for HSW credits, at least 75% of the information presented must directly address issues related to protecting the health, safety, and welfare of the public. Likewise, it is required that 3 of your 4 learning objectives identify the HSW issues being addressed. Click here for more details on the definition of Health Safety Welfare.

Selections of programs, tours, and presenters for the AIA Minnesota Conference on Architecture will be made in a manner consistent with AIA Minnesota’s core values and Diversity Policy, with attention to ensuring that a diverse array of voices and perspectives are brought forward, in particular regarding gender and race/ethnicity.
 
Please note:
  • Should your tour be accepted, you must agree to submit any additional information requested in order to comply with requirements necessary for reporting for CE credit
  • Proposals are received with the understanding that tour guides and speakers are providing their services pro bono
  • AIA Minnesota will provide round-trip busing for all participants from the Convention Center.
  • You will be notified if your tour has been selected no later than July 31, 2019.
