The Public Hearing was held for the Land Use Bylaw several weeks ago.  Some great discussion points were raised.  We have compiled a list of questions to get some feedback from residents. We greatly appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts.

Question Title

* 1. There was much discussion at the Public Hearing regarding home based business. Council discussed and has decided to leave the option in the Land Use Bylaw. This is the same as it was in the old Land Use Bylaw. Home based businesses are a discretionary item which means that they will be determined on a case by case basis. The development officer also has the option to revoke the permit with a stop order if there is a breach of the rules.

* 2. Public Notice (Section 2-19 c) has been changed from 60m to adjacent property owners. This will include property owners on the other side of a street where the properties would have been touching if not for the street being between them.

* 3. Appealing a Decision (Section 2-31) was updated to reflect new government guidelines.

* 4. Building or Structure Height (Section 4-4 a) has been modified so that height is measured at the midpoint of the building.

* 5. Accessory Buildings (Section 4-5) Boathouses have now been removed from the Land Use Bylaw language and will follow the same regulations as a shed/accessory building.

* 6. Manufactured homes (Section 4-7) has been updated to a maximum width of 9.8m rather than 4.8m.
