WGSD Calendar Survey - Staff Question Title * 1. Historically, WGSD ends school before Memorial Day. In order to build more flexibility in the calendar, such as a fall break, etc. would you be interested in moving the last day of school beyond Memorial Day? Elementary, middle, and high schools have conferences in different weeks, meaning different days off school for families and staff. Would you be interested in aligning conference comp days to be the same day across all levels? (This would mean your comp day may NOT be attached to your scheduled week of conferences.) This could give the district flexibility in creating other options for the calendar, such as a fall break, for families and staff. Please remember that Jump Start Conferences are only for the parents to report to staff about their child/children and should not be utilized as a teacher conference. As a side note, should Jump Start Conferences be scheduled after school starts, the comp day will not be attached to the week of conferences. I prefer Jump Start Conferences to remain in August prior to school starting. I prefer Jump Start Conferences to occur in the second week of September.
