What concerns do you have in terms of road safety within the community of Lake Grace? How can we shift our thinking and make small changes that could encourage road users to stay safe? This includes cars, bikes, pedestrians, gophers and e-rideables.
In 2024, 118 people were killed in crashes in Western Australia, 1,600 were seriously injured; 61% of fatalities were in regional areas while the metropolitan area has 71% of the serious injuries.
Speed remains the number one cause of car crashes; however, seatbelts, fatigue and distraction are also of concern.
The Lake Grace CRC in conjunction with Roadwise and Town Teams ‘Streets Alive’ funding are wanting your input. We have engaged local sheep, Thelma and Louise to be our ambassadors.
As an organization we can’t do much about speed or seatbelts (except encourage you to follow the rules) however we do think we may be able to have some influence with fatigue and distraction by finding out what influences you to Stop a While and recharge the batteries before getting back on the road.
This anonymous survey has 12 questions, please take the time to fill it in as it will help us get funding to make Lake Grace THE place to Stop a While.
