What is The Tea Project?
The Tea Project is a standards-based initiative designed as a cohort for educators. Participants gain skills in supporting elementary and middle school children to experience the plant cycle, weather and seasons, and develop self-care, empathy, body awareness, mindfulness and science observation skills through the lens of growing and preparing perennial healing herbs.
The Tea Project is presented as a (3) 3-credit graduate courses for educators, including workshops, PLC's and consulting visits, through Castleton University's Center for Schools, VT, and can be adapted to pre K- Grade 6.

Fall: Mindfulness in the Daily Cup of Tea (Virtual, 3 credit course, 2 hour weekly synchronous class)
Spring: Designing, Planting and Caring for a Perennial Herb Garden in Schools (Virtual, 3 credit course, 2 hour weekly synchronous class)
Summer: Forest And Garden: Plant Literacy for the Nature Based Classroom (Week-Long In Person, 3 credit course, Vermont)
