EDI Committee - Recruitment for Student Rep 2026

The Association of British Neurologists is committed to promoting equality, diversity and inclusion in all that we do and across neurology in the UK. We are seeking a new medical student representative for the ABN Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Committee, as our previous rep has come to the end of their term. The role would suit someone with an interest in promoting and ensuring ED&I is embedded across the ABN’s work, and in particular exploring how the ABN can be more accessible for medical students.

The work of the ABN is carried out through its committees, which are primarily formed from the ABN Membership. Being a committee member offers a number of benefits:

o Expanding your knowledge of neurology

Committee roles are unremunerated, and for this role, it is limited to members while they are students only. The commitment would be approximately: a one hour of meeting per month, occasional additional tasks decided during the meeting. We would not expect this to be more than a few hours per month.
