2023 NY POL Registration for Schools

Complete the form below to register your school to participate in 2023 Poetry Out Loud. We will return to in-person programming for the 2023 Poetry Out Loud Semifinal and State Final competitions. In addition to the live/in-person Semifinals, we are offering schools the alternative to participate in a virtual Semifinal (students will be asked to submit video recordings of their performances). Visit nypol.org for a list of Semifinal locations. The State Final competition will be held in New York City in March 2023.

* 11. We are offering a limited number of FREE Poetry Out Loud workshops, led by teaching artists from Teachers & Writers Collaborative, on a first come, first served basis. These workshops are a great way to engage students and get them excited about their POL poetry performances. In the workshops, students use writing as a tool to analyze and connect more deeply with their POL poems and get tips and advice for improving their recitations. Workshops are available in-person in the NYC area or remotely in other regions.
