Dear Judge or Court Staff Member:

The National Immigrant Women’s Advocacy Project, American University, Washington College of Law is conducting a brief survey to learn what judges and courts are observing regarding access to justice by immigrant victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, stalking and human trafficking.  We are interested in learning to what extent courts are seeing changes in immigrant victim’s participation in or willingness to seek help from courts and what impact, if any, increased immigration enforcement and recent reports of immigration enforcement in courthouses has had on immigrants' willingness to participate in the justice system.

The survey is anonymous.  We ask only that participants note their state so we can identify any state or regional trends.

The information we learn from the survey will be used to identify trends and needs for judicial training, development of training materials for courts and judges and for providing technical assistance to judges and court staff.

Please answer all the questions to the best of your ability.

Your help forwarding this survey to other judges and court staff in your state and in your networks would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance for your participation!
