The value of SPI is that it is industry-driven – health care organizations lead SPI regional groups, working with their peers and other key industry partners to identify and address their common workforce needs. Healthcare organizations have a means to come together in support of their organizations and each other. The power of the work together is great. Through SPI, all the regional groups support each other and expand the work across the state.
Every other month at 1-hour long regional meetings, employers will learn about new workforce programs, hear labor market info, and obtain up-to-date information about training funds to help recruit, retain, or upskill employees. Attendees have a chance to make regional connections with other employers and get to know local Career & Technical Education Centers or Extended Learning Opportunity Coordinators for activities like attracting high school students and recent graduates to the workplace.
