Johnston Community Center Survey

The Johnston Community Center is located at 231 Eleanor Ave. and is seeking community feedback on expanded recreational offerings and services. Johnston Community Center is an event space featuring an auditorium, three rooms, and a warming kitchen. These amenities make it ideal for classes, meetings, celebrations, and other social gatherings. The Johnston Community Center is within the 27-acre Johnston Community Park. Johnston Community Park offers baseball and soccer fields, playgrounds, and swimming and wading pools. In 2009, City leased the Johnston Community Center to Mutual Assistance Network to manage and use for providing recreational and enrichment programs to benefit the Del Paso Heights community. The lease is set to expire, and the City is looking for a new operator of the Community Center. The City will be issuing a Request for Proposals for any interested group to submit a proposal to operate the Center. Survey feedback will be incorporated into the Request for Proposal to reflect how the Community would like to utilize the Center for future programming.
