Jefferson County is one of a few counties in Colorado that issues TABOR refunds to taxpayers, which you likely received in November. TABOR – or the Taxpayer Bill of Rights – limits how much revenue the county can keep. This means the county operates with fewer resources than most of the 64 counties in Colorado.
Jefferson County wants the community to be aware that the county faces up to $20 million in budget cuts in 2023 and 2024. If you'd like to see more information on this before answering this survey, see our Funding Challenges web page, as well as several others within that Financial Realities for Jefferson County web section.

Please take a few moments to complete this survey to help the county better understand your budget priorities. Thank you!
