The goal of this survey is to provide the URMIA membership with an understanding of:

1.      The frequency that URMIA members purchase environmental liability insurance (also known as pollution liability insurance)
2.      The limits and deductibles chosen by members
3.      Differences in environmental liability insurance purchased between public and private institutions and between smaller and larger institutions.

For purposes of this survey, environmental (pollution) liability insurance is a specific form of insurance covering claims made by third parties arising from contamination of air, water, or land due to “pollution conditions” at or from an insured location.  This insurance can provide first-party coverage for contamination of insured property either by external or on-site sources.  For more background, please click HERE.
