Despite the well-established benefits of interventional radiology (IR), it has been reported that more than half of the world’s population lacks access to IR procedures. The reason for the discrepancy can be due to many reasons, including lack of resources, limited access to costly radiologic equipment, and lack of education. In many areas the status of IR is simply unknown.
 
The International Division within the Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR) is conducting this survey to better understand the global status of IR with the goal of promoting further expansion of IR services and training internationally. The survey will serve as a foundation for an international IR registry, connecting interventional radiologists across borders. The survey takes around 5 minutes to complete.
