Black in BC: Mutual Aid Application

UPDATE:

Our team has been receiving a significant number of applications. In order to process outstanding applications, we will not be accepting applications between November 15, 2020, to November 30, 2020.

Applications will re-open on December 1, 2020, and will remain open until December 15, 2020. Our team will not be accepting applications during the holiday period. Applications will reopen in 2021.

We operate on a trust-based system. Therefore, neither Black Mutual Aid BC nor Black Lives Matter Vancouver will be held liable in the event that information received from applicants is found to be untruthful. 

Funds will be sent out on a first come, first served basis, with priority going towards folks NOT ELIGIBLE for EI and CERB and the most vulnerable folks in our Black community (senior citizens, disabled community members, LGBTQ+ folk, parents and vulnerable women).
 
This fund is created with the spirit of community trust. We are all community organizers who want to stay transparent and accountable to our community. We want to help those in the Black community in BC access support through funds. If you have other means of finding support, please seek those out, and leave this fund for folks in need.

If you have trouble filling out this form, please call or text (778) 767-5690. We have volunteers available who can help you fill out this form. Please let us know if you would rather communicate in a language that is not English. We may have volunteers that can help translate into your preferred language.

We will distribute available funds daily in one-time allotments of $150. We cannot guarantee instant deposit of these funds, funds may take several days to deposit depending on which institution you bank with.
