Introduction
The class will be held online from 10:00 am to approximately 2:30 pm on Thursday, June 15, 2023. A link to the online training will be provided to those who are registered.
Important: Each attendee will be required to pay the enrollment fee of $50 for certification training/education prior to class attendance. For businesses with multiple employees, please enroll each person individually. Payment must be received by Monday, June 12, 2023.
This class is only for those who are already in possession of their Washington State Trappers Certification. You must enter your Trapper Certification number on the registration form. Every person performing WCO outlined activities for compensation must first obtain a Washington Trappers Certification by passing the Trapper Test.

All class participants must provide documentation showing a minimum of two years’ experience that demonstrates the knowledge and ability to control wildlife species causing conflict or property damage. This documentation must be sent to specialtrapping@dfw.wa.gov after registering online and no later than Friday, June 9, 2023 in order to remain on the class roster.
Class size is limited to 30 people. Upon completion of the enrollment page, you will be registered.
Once a person completes WCO certification training and passes the exam, he or she must apply for the certificate in order to charge a fee and employ nonlethal management techniques, and harass, kill, trap, release, or dispatch animals causing damage to private property.
