DESCRIPTION:In this creative workshop, participants will explore self-expression through intuitive painting while learning techniques to slow down, regulate their nervous system and reconnect with their body. The session begins with simple grounding and embodiment practices, including tuning into sensation, breath and present-moment awareness to support a sense of safety.
Participants will then be invited to paint from their present-moment experience without judgment, fixing or trying to “make it good.” The workshop includes opening and closing sharing circles to reflect on the experience.
Participants will leave with:
- A personal painting created from their present-moment experience;
- Tools and practices to support self-regulation and grounding;
- An opportunity to express themselves creatively and reconnect with their body; and,
- A safe space to reflect, share and reset.
Participants are to meet staff at JUMP Etobicoke Office at 10a.m. We will walk over to the park together for the art session.
This workshop will be held in-person at the Fairhaven Park located at 100 Golfwood Heights, Etobicoke Ontario M9P 3M2 (MAP).
No previous experience is needed! However, spaces are limited.
