Accessible Parking for people with mobility needs in Downtown Brattleboro
Parking for people with mobility issues in downtown Brattleboro
The Town of Brattleboro cannot provide designated Handicapped parking spaces on Main Street that comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), due to the narrowness of the street.
The Brattleboro ADA Committee is investigating how this affects people who deal with all levels of mobility issues who want to access Main Street and the nearby businesses. We are trying to find creative solutions, with cooperation from the community and downtown businesses.
You can help by filling out this 10-question survey and encouraging others to do so as well.
If you would like to share more information, ideas or ask questions, please visit a Brattleboro town ADA committee meeting on the second friday of each month at 9:00 at the Municipal Center, Hannah Cosman Room, or contact Robin Scudder at 802-257-9308. Thank you.
