Application for Coaching at Castlemaine Goldfields FC

Please provide as much information as possible.

While we are generally a 'Parent Coach' driven club we encourage coaches to commit to the attitude and behaviour of a
'youth sports professional'.

We have a collegiate approach to coaching and expect coaches to work in pairs as either Co-Coaches or Coach and Assistant.

The club provides resources from the FFA National Curriculum and coaches are expected to familiarise themselves with and run training sessions from these resources http://www.ffacoachingresource.com.au/

Coaches must have a valid Working With Children Check.

Coaches must have read, understood and agree to be bound by the Victorian code of conduct for community sport
http://sport.vic.gov.au/publications-and-resources/community-sport-resources/victorian-code-conduct-community-sport
As well as League and Club codes of conduct.

The coaching commitment looks like this:

7 months : March – September
4-6 hrs per week
Preparation – 1 hr
Training – 1 hr
Game – 2 hrs

Pre-Season 6 weeks in School Term 1
Competitive Season runs over school term 2 and 3 and consists of:
3 weeks grading rounds a 14 season and 3 weeks finals for top 4 teams
U10's just play a 16 week season

The appointment Process

Applications and offers to coach teams are treated as confidential and while the club encourages participation it is not always possible to appoint every applicant and this role does not suit everyone.

Applicants will be contacted by phone by the coaching co-ordinator.
