We recognize that COVID-19 represents an unpredictable and unique scenario that requires all Albertans to take measures to prevent the spread of the virus. IMPACT is committed to supporting sector workers to work as safely as possible during this time.

As part of this, IMPACT will be involved in the procurement and distribution of non-medical KN95 masks (and possibly, other essential safety items) for the domestic and sexual violence sector. This sector provides an essential service and needs to continue to interact with people — including people who have been exposed to or diagnosed with COVID-19. These masks will help lower the exposure to hazards that put these workers at risk of infection.

Due to a limited supply, mask orders will be be placed on a first come first served basis - until quantities run out. Please be a good neighbour and order what you need, while considering the needs of your provincial partners.

Please note the following:
- This initiative has been developed in response to requests from the sector; and as such IMPACT Is preparing to support workers for the foreseeable future to ensure front-line service continuity
- Please read the World Health Organization's current recommendations on When and How to Use Masks.  WHO highlights that these masks are for public health and infection prevention and control; while they may not prevent COVID-19, they are an extra precaution that individuals may wish to use.
- IMPACT is working with the distributor to minimize any disruptions in the shipping process, but given the current situation, there may be some issues beyond our control
-no refunds will be available

* For mask specifications, please refer to pdf attachment included with Brielle's email. These are non-medical KN95 masks that are effective at filtering out at least 95% of airborne particles, including microorganisms, dust, pollen and air pollution. They come in a single size that fits most faces, and therefore do not require a fit test.
