EUROSPINE - JSSR Travelling Fellowship Programme 2026
Dear EUROSPINE Member,
We are pleased that you are interested in participating in the EUROSPINE-JSSR Travelling Fellowship Programme 2026.
In collaboration with the Japanese Society for Spine Surgery and Related Research (JSSR), this annual Fellowship Programme supports continued education and training of spine surgeons, through a structured experience at premier Japanese spine centres. The Fellowship Programme consists of two EUROSPINE Member Grants and combines hands-on observation, focused discussions and exposure to innovative techniques in spine surgery. Each Fellowship Grant is valued at €10,000 per fellow and subject to EUROSPINE reimbursement policies.
The two Fellowship Awards for EUROSPINE members include travel and accommodation support, not exceeding 10'000 EUR, as well as complimentary registration to the JSSR meeting.
The European based EUROSPINE fellows will start their Fellowship at the JSSR meeting 16 - 18 April in Fukuoka before travelling across Japan to visit 2-3 selected spine surgery treatment facilities.

- Must be EUROSPINE PREMIUM or STANDARD Members in good standing.
- Must possess between 5 and 10 years of experience in independent practice in Europe.
- Must work in Europe at the time of application.
- Must be able to demonstrate an academic track record and interest in spine research.

Applications will be reviewed and successful applicants will be notified week commencing 26 January 2026.
