Project Title: The Effect of Information on C2 Cognitive and Network Capabilities
AUTHORITY: The Department of the Army may collect the information requested in this session under the authority of 10 United States Code, Section 2358, “Research and Development Projects.” In accordance with the Privacy Act of 1974 (Public Law 93-579), this notice informs you of the purpose, use, and confidentiality of this session.
PURPOSE: The purpose of this research is to examine the ability of online collaborative media and virtual collaboration protocols to facilitate communication and crisis response effectiveness in a distributed team of experts. Findings from this and other sessions may be used in briefings or reports. Feedback from this and similar sessions may also be used to formulate or refine future research questions.
ROUTINE USES: Information from these sessions is used to enhance our understanding of virtual collaboration in distributed teams. Findings from these sessions may be used in research reports and presentations to disseminate important findings, to advance future research, and to develop training products and guidance.
DISCLOSURE: Participating in this session is voluntary and you may choose at any time not to participate. There is no penalty for choosing not to participate.
CONFIDENTIALITY: We will not identify you, or attribute comments to any particular participant made during this session, and we will NOT include your name or other personally identifiable information in our notes or report. Your data and consent form will be kept separate. Your consent form will be stored in a locked location and will not be disclosed to third parties. Likewise, we ask that each of you respect the confidential nature of this session, by not identifying individual participants with comments made during this session.
We cannot provide "confidentiality" or "non-attribution," to a participant regarding comments involving criminal activity/behavior, or statements that pose a threat to yourself or others. Do NOT discuss or comment on classified or operationally sensitive information during this session."
