Isle of Man Food and Drink - The Importance of Buying Local By understanding and supporting the Isle of Man’s food systems, we can all help create a more sustainable future for our Island.Choosing fresh and high-quality local food and drink reduces food miles and limits the Isle of Man's reliance on imports. Purchasing local food and drink also boosts the local economy as every £ spent on local produce is worth more to the Island than £ spent on imported goods.Food provenance refers to the origin of the produce in question—how and where it was grown, caught, raised, or produced. Clear local provenance labelling can help consumers make informed choices, allowing them to know where their food is grown, caught, or raised, and how it is produced and transported. It also provides reassurance that they are supporting Manx producers. To help us understand what’s important and ensure we focus on the right areas, we would appreciate it if you could take a few minutes to complete the survey below.Thank you.Win a Manx produce hamper worth over £50!As a thank you for taking the time to complete the survey, you will have the option to leave your email address and be entered into the prize draw.
