Thank you for taking the time to visit The Intellectual Downplaying Survey Portal. The Intellectual Downplaying Survey was created to collect data for a research study focused on the practice of intellectual downplaying. The author of this study, Dr. Erica Vernold Miller (Cazenovia College), has coined the term intellectual downplaying and has defined it as, " the practice of an individual acting as though he/she is less intelligent than he/she really is."

This study has been approved by the Cazenovia College Institutional Review Board (IRB).
