The SNO Women and Diversity Committee invite your nominations for the 2023 WiN Mid-Career Exemplary Physician Award and WiN Mentorship Award. You need not be a member of SNO to make a nomination.  The nomination site will be open through July 5, 2023. 
The WiN Mid-Career Exemplary Physician Award 

ABOUT THE AWARD
This Award is to honor mid-career female physicians (MD, DO) who have shown early success and promise for significant career achievements in neuro-oncology through research, education, service, advocacy, clinical performance, and who have worked to promote the role of women in the field of neuro-oncology. This award will be presented during the Women and Diversity Award and Networking Reception at the SNO Annual Meeting.

ELIGIBILITY
  • Open to female SNO members in the first 8 to 16 years of practice (from last terminal training such as fellowship or residency);
  • The award may be given only once to an individual; and
  • Previously nominated candidates will be considered.

The WiN Mentorship Award

ABOUT THE AWARD
The WiN Mentorship Award recognizes a female SNO member who has demonstrated an exceptional commitment to mentorship in the field of neuro-oncology. The award is created to acknowledge those women who make a significant positive impact on their mentees’ education and career and who assist mentees in the advancement of research or patient care in the field of neuro-oncology. This award will be presented during a plenary session of the SNO Annual Meeting.

ELIGIBILITY
  • Open to active women members of SNO who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to mentorship in the field of neuro-oncology;
  • The awardee should demonstrate a track record for successfully mentoring individuals towards clinical, basic science, or educational accomplishments in the field of neuro-oncology;
  • Previously nominated candidates will be considered; and
  • Previous recipients of the Mentorship Award are ineligible.
