Playful Street

Would you like your neighborhood to be a more Playful Place for adults and children as well as engage with the your local authority

Playful Streets are a low cost and easy way to turn streets into play spaces. At Playful Streets children and neighbors can safely play and socialise outside — just like you did when you were young. Playful Streets are big or small occasions. They can be one-off or regular activities in your neighborhood.

Our goal is to prioritise sustainability for our events to ensure lasting impact. Selected applicants will have the opportunity to receive training and rent play packs to independently organize and run future events.

If you would like to run a Playful Street in your Community in 2024 please fill in the below contact form. Their will be a maximum number of Playful Streets which we will be able to support. Our aim is to ensure an equal spread of activities throughout county Waterford. These will be assisted by a project coordinator. Each successful application will be supported on the delivery of a Playful Street in your area by Waterford City and County Council , Waterford Sports Partnership & Ready Steady Play.
