Disability Access & Inclusion Survey

Council is developing a new Disability Access and Inclusion Plan (DAIP) and is seeking a broad range of experiences and perspectives to better understand community priorities for accessibility and inclusion.

If you live, visit, or support someone in the Town of Gawler, please consider taking a moment to complete this survey and provide your feedback.

Responses will help shape the new Gawler DAIP and contribute to building a more accessible, inclusive, and connected community.

The survey will remain open until Monday 9 March 2026

For questions or queries please contact Council’s Community Development Team on 8522 9208 or community@gawler.sa.gov.au

What is meant by:

Disability: Includes long-term physical, psychosocial, intellectual, cognitive, neurological or sensory impairments. Disability is not just about a person’s condition—it’s about the barriers in society that prevent full participation.

Access: Making sure everyone can use spaces, services, and information—whether it’s a building, website, or community event.

Inclusion: Creating a community where everyone feels welcome, respected, and able to participate equally and equitably.
