Community Development

Every five years, the cities of Eugene and Springfield must prepare a consolidated plan to address housing, homeless, community and economic development needs and priorities. The Consolidated Plan guides the use of federal Community Development Block Grant and HOME Investment Partnership Program funds received by both Cities. The process to develop the plan for the 2020-2024 period is now underway.

Similarly, the cities of Eugene and Springfield must update the fair housing document, called the Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing Choice (AI). The AI identifies fair housing issues as well as actions to further fair housing across the cities.

This survey addresses both the Consolidated Plan and the AI; The Consolidated Plan questions are focused on your perceptions of your community, so please answer them as you see your community. The AI questions are focused on your experience as an owner/renter, so please answer the AI questions from your personal experience.

We need the community's help to identify housing and other community needs. Please complete and submit this survey by Friday, December 6th. Your responses are very important to this process.

Additional information regarding the Eugene-Springfield Consolidated Plan process and staff contact information are available at https://www.eugene-or.gov/4300/2020-Consolidated-Plan-Process
