Welcome to the Georgia Department of Education's Online Community Feedback Survey for the state's implementation of the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA).
There are five working committees devoted to different areas of public education in the state
- Accountability,
- Assessment,
- Education of the Whole Child,
- Educator and Leader Development, and
- Federal Programs to Support School Improvement).
Each committee has drafted questions that we would like to get your feedback on in order to ensure our schools are addressing the needs of all Georgians (students, teachers, school leaders, parents, community members, business & industry, legislators, etc.). During each of the in-person sessions, participants are asked to attend two of the working committees for a deeper discussion. In this same spirit, for the following online survey, please answer two sets of questions based on the committee areas that interest you most (although you are free to answer as many questions as you would like). Before each committee's questions, there is a summary of the committee, its scope of work, the requirements under the new federal law, and opportunities that are available.
