About Shades of Belonging:
Shades of Belonging is a research and community-building initiative dedicated to exploring the intersections of adoption, race, and Jewish identity. Our goal is to center the lived experiences of Jewish Adoptees of Color to better understand our unique needs, celebrate our diverse identities, and build collective belonging.
About the Focus Groups:
We are currently seeking Jewish adoptees of color to participate in one 60-minute virtual focus group to be held in May or June, 2026. This focus groups will ask you to engage in conversation about your experiences as an adopted person with a Jewish background. This conversation will help shape future resources and support systems for our community. Your participation is invaluable in ensuring this project is grounded in real adoptee experiences.
