Conversation Circles: A Bold Commitment to Racial Equity and Deep Connection
Since 2009, Professional Dimensions has hosted Conversation Circles—an initiative born out of courage, trust, and the unwavering belief that women could lead the way in dismantling racism. Launched during a time of heightened racial tension, these circles were a bold act of solidarity: bringing together women of color and white women to engage in raw, necessary, and often uncomfortable dialogue about race, privilege, and systemic injustice.
What began as small gatherings in members’ homes—rotating hosts, sharing meals, and confronting truth—quickly became a sacred space where lifelong friendships were forged. These were not casual conversations; they were intentional, intimate, and deeply transformative. Women showed up authentically, held space for one another, and left each session changed.
This program continues as a space for connection and courageous learning. Participants are expected to:
- Show up with authenticity and openness
- Commit to attending all 5 sessions
- Engage in light pre-work (short videos and/or readings)
- Practice mutual respect while navigating challenging topics
As a women’s organization rooted in collective leadership, we honor the legacy of women who have shown up for one another throughout history. We believe women are uniquely equipped to carry this equity work forward—with honesty, empathy, and action.
