Instructions: When filling out this survey, keep in mind that when we say “workplace violence,” we mean more than just physical acts. Violence can include a range of behaviours including threats, verbal abuse, harassment, bullying, teasing and intimidation. It also involves acts of people in the Board, including co-workers, supervisors and management, as well as outside the Company, including contractors, parents and students.

WorkSafeBC definition for “bullying and harassment” is:

(a) Includes any inappropriate vexatious conduct or comment by a person towards a worker that the person knew or reasonably ought to have known would cause that worker to be humiliated, offended or intimidated, but
(b) Excludes any reasonable action taken by an employer, a manager or supervisor relating to the management and direction of workers or the place of employment.
