The Washington State Department of Transportation’s (WSDOT) Cascadia High-Speed Rail and I-5 Program is working to improve the way we travel today and in the future. The program draws its name from the megaregion this work supports. This megaregion includes the metropolitan areas of Vancouver, British Columbia; Seattle, Washington; and Portland, Oregon.

WSDOT is working to address our region’s growing population and infrastructure demands to ensure the safe and reliable movement of people and goods. The Cascadia Program brings together two planning projects to address the current and future needs of our transportation system. These projects are the I-5 Master Plan and Cascadia High-Speed Rail Service Development Plan.
  • The I-5 Master Plan will explore potential strategies, programs, studies and projects needed to improve safety, reliability and resilience along I-5 in Washington state.
  • The Cascadia High-Speed Rail Service Development Plan will identify potential routes and service options to explore in later stages, along with management and funding options.
This survey will help WSDOT understand the priorities and needs of community members, business owners and commuters like you as they relate to these transportation projects. Your feedback will inform recommendations that will drive future planning and will help us focus on what matters most to communities when it comes to our transportation system.

We appreciate your time and input on this survey. There are no right or wrong answers. The survey is estimated to take around 8–10 minutes to complete.
