2026 Young Professional Survey

Locate Isle of Man, in partnership with the University College Isle of Man (UCM), is pleased to launch the 2026 Young Professional Survey, following on from its last iteration in 2023.

Purpose of the Survey
This survey aims to provide Locate Isle of Man and UCM with a clearer understanding of the employment pathways and career decisions of young Manx professionals, whether they have remained on‑Island or taken up work elsewhere. It seeks to explore the reasons behind these choices, alongside study history, current career situation, and future intentions. The survey also aims to identify the factors and types of support that would encourage young professionals to remain on, or return to, the Isle of Man to live and work.

The findings will help support strategic planning across government and support the ongoing work of Locate Isle of Man’s Graduate Ecosystem.

What This Survey Covers
This survey seeks to understand your background, including your employment status, education history, study or training routes, and the factors that shaped those choices. It will also explore your career goals, current role or sector, your priorities when considering job opportunities, and the factors that may influence whether you remain on, or return to, the Isle of Man in the future. You will also have the optional opportunity to join the Locate Isle of Man Graduate and Young Professional mailing list.

How the Data Will Be Used
All responses will be analysed and reported in aggregate, with all personal data fully anonymised so that no individual can be identified.

The findings will support ongoing planning and decision‑making across government.

In accordance with the Data Protection (Application of GDPR) Order 2018, anonymised results may be shared with UCM and relevant internal government bodies where this is necessary to inform evidence‑based policy and programme development.
