Important Events in the History of Planning Since 1900
This survey asks you to name important events in the history of planning since the year 1900. The American Planning Association will use the results of this survey as a source of information in the development of an exciting new resource on planning history that will be launched later in 2018. Your answers will help us evaluate the integrity and accuracy of this resource, and your help is greatly appreciated.
Most of the questions in this survey will ask you for multiple answers. Please try to fill out all of the blanks for each question. Even if you have to "stretch" to come up with answers, your information will be beneficial.
For the purposes of these questions, "events" can include, but are not limited to:
The publication of a book, journal, or article
The publication or formal adoption of a plan
A formal gathering
The initiation or completion of a change to the built environment

The invention, adoption, launch, or first application of a tool or technique
The adoption of a law
The creation of an organization or formal program
A court decision
