The Martin Richard Foundation believes that service to the community builds bridges of understanding and breaks down barriers. The Bridge Builder campaign enables educators and young people to work together to develop their own community service projects that foster inclusion, equality, understanding, and trust. We believe that communities will prosper when young people are empowered to take the lead.

The Martin Richard Foundation is challenging educators to inspire their students to stand up to lead an effort in their neighborhoods that brings people together in service and motivates others to want to do the same. The Martin Richard Foundation will provide up to 50 $500 grants to selected applicants who are motivated to engage and inspire communities by going beyond their comfort zone. We want young people to develop a project that tackles issues that warrant attention in their neighborhoods or schools and brings about change, awareness, and unity.

Educators and youth development professionals who work with young people between the ages of 5-22 years-old may join the movement and use this opportunity to build relationships while putting their leadership and social entrepreneurship skills into action.
