Minority Ethnic Community Engagement in Northumberland |
1. Purpose of survey
Northumberland Community Development Network is working with Northumberland County Council to find out more about what’s happening for minority ethnic* people and communities in Northumberland. We want to hear from organisations and projects that are in contact with minority ethnic people or groups, and about what services or support you offer.
This work is part of a larger project that is working towards improving the chances of diverse groups of people in having a say in services that affect them.
Once the survey is complete a report of the findings will be a useful resource that can be shared with all participants and with the County Council. As a result this is not a confidential questionnaire, however we do not require any personal details of minority ethnic people and any such information shared will be treated as confidential.
This survey should take you no more than 10 minutes to complete, and it would be useful to have any monitoring data that you may produce to hand when you complete it. Should you have any questions about the project please contact Julia at NCDN – julia@ncdn.org
*’Minority ethnic’ describes anyone who identifies themselves as a member of an ethnic group that is not ‘white British.’ It is of course up to people themselves to decide how they would prefer to be described.
