Understanding this survey
This survey is confidential. We will not link your name with your answers in any way. The whole survey should take you less than 15 minutes to complete. For completing the survey, you will be entered into a raffle to win a $250 gift card. You must be 18 years of age or older and live in Illinois in order to fill out the survey.
We are asking you about your experiences with borrowing money for short periods of time. We will also ask what things are most important to you if or when you need to borrow. This study is to understand what community members need when they have to borrow money. Our goal is to help people avoid using high interest loan products that are too expensive. We want to help nonprofits, credit unions, and banks create short term loan products that are fair, reasonable, and helpful.
If you feel uncomfortable about answering any questions, you may skip them and or stop filling out the survey at any time.
Why Should I participate?
By filling out this survey, you can help people like you in your community have access to small loans without high interest rates. Many people have had to pay 3 or 4 times what they borrowed in interest alone. WeProsper has found that these high interest loans are often targeted to communities of color.
